Trattoria Ubud Review

Trattoria Pizza Restuarant Nyuh KuningTrattoria is an Italian restaurant chain that has 16 branches mostly in South East Asia. They must be doing something right to have so many successful stores. Lucky for us, one is just down the road from our house.

On arrival you will be served bruschetta and 3 different types of bread, all complimentary! Got to love some free food!

The  menu has a large selection of good pizza options. The pizza are a traditional Italian style with a thin base, but large enough to still be filling. They do some extra-large (some may say giant in fact) pizzas with half and half, if you can get the right match these are a winner.

Two in one

Trattoria Pizza Restuarant Nyuh KuningThe baked eggplant Parmigiana stack, was super tasty but a little oily, and very filling. It was best shared as a side with some pizza.

Trattoria Pizza Restuarant Nyuh KuningOf course they do pasta too, which is very authentic and tasty.

Trattoria Pizza Restuarant Nyuh KuningWe also had breakfast here one day, but it was unfortunately not very good. They served the overcooked eggs with thin white loaf bread, that just crumbled on the plate.

Trattoria Pizza Restuarant Nyuh KuningAn omelette

Trattoria Pizza Restuarant Nyuh KuningIt is a fairly kid friendly place because, firstly most kids love pizza. But also because the plain brown paper place-mats are perfect drawing pads for the creative munchkins, not sure if that is the intention however it works for us! Buon Appetito.

Pizza On Cambridge Review

Pizza On Cambridge, Floreat

We had heard many good things about this small pizza place on Cambridge Street in Floreat. There is a good range of both classic and premium pizzas. The bases were not too thick nor oily, just how I like them.

Tazio Birraria Pizzeria Cucina Review

Tazio Birraria Pizzeria Cucina, Melbourne

A great little restaurant in Melbourne, you could do a lot worse. We dropped in here for a pre-dinner drink and snack. It was a pity we could not stay for longer and try one of the traditional Italian pizzas, as it has a very nice ambience and all the food looked good.

Aurora Pizza & Pasta Review

Aurora Pizza & Pasta, Mount Hawthorn

This is what I call authentic Italian pizza, much better than the stuff you get in Italy! (and yes, I have been there) The ingredients are fresh and generous. The staff are very friendly, and the prices very reasonable. The Santa Lucia is one of our favourites – tomato, cheese, capsicum, pepperoni, mushroom, fresh tomato, ham, olives and anchovies. We always get the pick up deal with two family pizzas. We have not tried their pasta dishes.

Empire Pizzeria Review

Empire Pizzeria, Glendalough, WA

Wow, what a great pizza. We only live a short distance from this place but it has taken two years for us to try it out.

The vegetarian ‘Mona Lisa’ pizza was tempting, but we went for the  ‘Antipasto’ to satisfy everyone – pepperoni, ham, mushroom, roast artichoke, feta, sundried tomatoes, kalamatas and fresh thyme. The bases were cooked perfectly, not oily at all. Next time I am going to try one of their  dessert pizza’s – I have never had chocolate on a pizza before. There is a small section out the front where you can sit and eat, but we took our pizza to a park around the corner.

It is a bit confusing on the menu where the have different sections  for seafood, chicken and meat. Last time I looked seafood and chicken were meat, and also in the meat section there are pizzas with chicken! It is a large menu, and it does give you a chance to focus on the type of pizza you are after.

Chelsea Pizza Co. Review

Chelsea Pizza Co., Nedlands WA

Chelsea Pizza has been around since 1972, and is long established as a great feed. Otherwise it would not still be here. It is located on the busy Stirling Highway. They sell a few salads and pasta meals, but it is the pizza you should be coming for. They provide a good selection of pizzas, not just the usual standards. They have a pretty thin base, if that is how you like it (I prefer somewhere in between thick and thin). If you want to save a few dollars don’t eat in, prices are much greater to eat in the restaurant rather than takeaway. If the weather is fine, just buy takeaway and take the pizza out the front to the tables there.
