La Taverna, Sanur

La Taverna (The Tavern) is an Italian Restaurant right on the beach in Sanur. There is an entry fee of 150,000 IDR (per adult) which you can claim back when ordering food and drinks, so in essence you only pay for what you consume.

La Taverna in SanurIt is set up with lounge chair shelters right in the sand with a beach view, at the front of the more structured seating of the restaurant. To the right is an old school pool which is part of the deal. So you can eat, swim, drink, relax and swim some more and take all day!

Being an Italian establishment, we ordered some coffee’s expecting quality and we weren’t disappointed! Small cups but bellisimo! The food from the menu was quite expensive, but the quality was great.

La Taverna in SanurRob wasn’t feeling well so he just ate up the leftovers!

There was also an Indomart two doors up, so we could pop up there for a much cheaper can of drink, or whatever else you fancy!

The setting was fabulous and made it easy to relax. The kids had a great time, which was helped by the fact that there were other families from their school there. It is a regular weekly event for some. Not sure I would do it every week, but I could certainly think of worse things to do on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
